A Bersatu state assemblyperson has claimed that grassroots members in Selangor are against any attempt to sack Dr Mahathir Mohamad, his son and Bersatu deputy president Mukhriz Mahathir as well as others not aligned with Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

Kuang assemblyperson Sallehudin Amiruddin, who claimed to represent grassroots members in Selangor, pointed out that the rakyat had given their mandate to Pakatan Harapan in 2018 at the time led by Mahathir.
